Andrea

My dear friend Andrea has lost her battle to cancer. I met her when I first started the photoclub. She was one of the first members and we spent a lot of time together shooting. She became such a good friend to me and was really there for me a couple of years ago when I went through some health issues. I am truly saddened by the loss of my friend. I know in my heart she is now in a better place. I just recently got to meet her family from out of town and they are wonderful people. My heart goes out to them as well as my prayers. I want to...

Wolverine , Harley Quinn & The Punisher

“I went to see Logan on Thursday nights preview and in my opinion it was absolutely the best superhero movie to date!” Wolverine has always been my favourite comic book character by far so I may be a little biased, but what I enjoyed most about the movie is something all comic fans can relate to…it stayed true to the books. I highly recommend seeing it in the theatre to get the maximum experience! This fall, I had the opportunity to shoot some cosplay characters (I know..I’m way behind on blogging). What a great...

NBPC Zombie / Horror

Just before Halloween the North Bay photo club did a zombie / horror themed shoot. We setup 4 different shooting stations for the event. We had models and makeup artists come out along with local photographers. A special thanks to my friend Jay for doing makeup and allowing us the use of his building to shoot in. It was a very fun and collaborative day. If you are interested in joining the club. send me a message. Are we connected? LIKE me on...

NBPC Eau Claire Gorge

I organized a road trip with the North Bay Photo Club to Eau Claire Gorge (about 40 minutes away) for our May shoot. When we arrived the gates were still locked so no cars could pass yet. It was a 1.5km walk in and out to get to the main entrance. From there we walked a 2km trail, shooting pictures along the way. It was a cold day for May. I think plus 3c with a bit of snow on and off. We all packed a lunch and had a great time as usual. If you are interested in joining the club leave me a comment and I will get you the information. We have...

NBPC Xmas Party 2015

We had our 3rd annual Christmas party in early December. This year we rented a small hall and setup some studio stations for shooting. The event just gets better each year with more people coming out and participating. As usual we had a ton of laughs and a great time. Awesome people and lots of yummy food. I’d like to thank everyone who pitched in and helped make it a successful event. If you are interested in joining the photoclub send me an email. Here are some shots from the day. Looking at them now I can see a lot of the guys were...

Don Boudreau “Mr. Music”

As photographers we spend countless hours making memories for other families. I had this idea in my mind for a shoot with my Dad for some time now. I finally found the perfect suit for the occasion to shoot him with his instruments. Dad is 83 years young and very photogenic. I am so glad to have had the opportunity to do this shoot with him. Growing up we always had music playing in the house. I always loved listening to him play. He is an amazing picker and always encouraged us to play. When he bought his Martin guitar he gave me his 1962...

Day 200 and 60lbs lighter

October 19th. What a big day it was. We elected a new Prime Minister in Canada. It was also day 200 on my journey back to health. Day 200 was also a milestone day for me as I hit my 60lb weight loss goal. I am writing this blog to hopefully inspire others to take the steps to better health. It’s not an overnight thing. It takes time. Make small changes and stick to them. Don’t try and do it all overnight. It’s ok to ask for help or support. I was joined the fat sick and nearly dead group on Facebook. While I don’t...
